About the Author
Paul Zindel (1936-2003) was born and raised on Staten Island in New York. After teaching high school science for several years, he decided to pursue a career as a playwright. His first play, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Shortly thereafter, he wrote his first novel for young adults, The Pigman, which has gone on to sell millions of copies. Mr. Zindel wrote more than fifty books over the course of his life, including the popular My Darling, My Hamburger; The Pigman’s Legacy, a sequel to The Pigman; and the autobiographical The Pigman and Me.

I was assigned The Pigman freshman year in high school, and sought out the sequel myself. Very sweet, romantic, innocent, and comforting. Great book. If you loved the first one and if you ship John+Lorraine, this is a great read.
Just an amazing book. Finished it in a few hours, couldn't put it down. The main characters are great, the way the author writes it feels like you know them. Anyone who liked the first one will love this one as well. Only complaint would be the length of it, it's very short.
My granddaughter needed this book for school and it could not be located anywhere in Virginia, where they live. We checked all the bookstores in our area, and couldn't find it. I checked on Amazon while I was ordering something else, and I found it! It was right before Christmas 2009, and if I placed my order before December 23, I could receive it on the 24th. I ordered it on the 22nd, and when the mail was delivered on the 24th, the book was there. My granddaughter was shocked when we gave her the book, and that we could find the book and get it by Christmas.
I like the main story but the character's were not what they seem half of them were a bit confusing and they needed more back ground information.
This book was beautiful and heartbreaking, just like the first. Of course, not better, but a good conclusion to the characters we met in these two tiny books. I would be lying if I said I'm not disappointed that it's all over, but I have a deep respect for these books, and I know I won't come across anything quite like them. Bravo, bravo, bravo.
Not as good as the original but still good. I enjoyed the original so much 40+ years ago when I first read it that it was a little bit of a let down, but still a very enjoyable book
If you loved Pigman, you must read this book. I really love the way the author tells the story. Sucked me right in, had to finish it right away!
I finished this last week. There were some parts that were a little hard to understand and some that were a bit boring, but it was good overall. Highly recommended if you have read The Pitman, the prequel to this book.
