We surprised our first grade daughter with this book the night before starting school. She really enjoyed it and caught on that it has a catchy rhythm similar to a popular Christmas song she knows. She then went into school and saw that her teacher had the same book to read to the class the first day of school.
Literally the cutest ending to a story! I attached a QR code of myself reading the book on my “Meet the Teacher†about me handout at Meet the Teacher night and it was a huge hit! The students listened to the story the night before coming to first grade and it was such a cute story, they all loved it! Reminded me of my twin nieces, can’t wait to read this book to them when they get to 1st Grade!
My son loved this book! I bought it for him right before he started school, and we read it every night for two weeks. It a cute, short story that was perfect for his journey through the first days of 1st grade. I hope there's one for 2nd grade!
Love the rhymes. Very enjoyable to read to children of all ages. We have the whole collection and read them for the associated occasion.
I bought this book for my daughter who was entering first grade. A while back we read the night before kindergarten (before she entered kindergarten) and the night before st Patrick’s day. These books are so cute and thoughtful! We love reading them. The rhymes are creative and simple enough that my daughter understands them. We will definitely be reading other books by Natasha Wing!
The was the perfect book to read the night before your child starts 1st grade. It talks about making new friends which is important because you may not be in the same classroom with the best friend you had in Kindergarten.
My son was a bit nervous about the first day of 1st grade. I think this book helped him realize it could be fun. Day #4 now and he's very happy with school.
This is an excellent book to get and read to your child before the first day of school. I am a first grade teacher and plan on using this book to read and record for my students to watch the night before.
