This is an excellent resource for anyone planning a trip to the Virgin Islands, not just divers. It rates the many sites on both dive rankings and snorkel rankings. I bought it for the snorkel rankings as these seem to be more difficult to come by. Beautiful color photos throughout, excellent charts showing location, and details on each site including approximate location and accessibility (by land, boat, etc.) The only shortcoming that I noted was the lack of GPS coordinates for the sites, an omission that surprised me considering the thoroughness of the other information.
The book was not very useful on our trip to the Virgin Islands as it provided no information on beach snorkel/dive locations. Everything focused on sites that required a boat.
